The MVASCNA Activities Subcommittee serves the Miami Valley Area Groups and members through their individual Group Contributions by planning, coordinating and hosting NA social events for NA members.
The subcommitte works with outside organizations to find venues and coordinates with the organizations' management team to provide a clean and safe atmosphere and strives to maintain the integrity of the NA reputation with the community at large that opens their doors to us for these social events.
The primary purpose of social activities is to help addicts feel more comfortable in their local NA community and increase unity and camaraderie among NA members.
Dances, picnics, campouts, special speaker meetings—these events are put on by our Area Activities Subcommittee. Activities like these can provide a greater sense of community for the local NA Fellowship.
These functions are designed to enhance NA’s primary purpose, not to replace group contributions in funding area services.
